Why we built this.
We wanted a Mac cleaner that we weren't terrified to use on our own machines. So we built one.
The problem with the "1-Click" button
Most Mac utilities try to gamify the cleaning process. They present you with a giant, glowing "Clean Now" button that instantly executes a permanent deletion command across thousands of files you've never even seen.
This is dangerous. Normal users accidentally delete their app configurations. Developers wake up to find their entire Docker cache or Node modules mysteriously corrupted.
We believe in complete transparency
CleanDeck was engineered on a simple principle: if a utility has the power to delete your files, it must be able to justify every single action it takes.
- We never permanently delete files. Everything is moved to the macOS Trash.
- If evidence is ambiguous, we don't guess. We ask you to review it.
- We explicitly lock down System locations so you can't break your OS.
Built for everyone
You don't need to be a programmer to use CleanDeck. We built the Basic version specifically so that anyone can reclaim space safely, knowing they have a native undo via the Trash bin.
And for the developers, the Pro version offers the surgical precision needed to clean environments without nuking active projects. Finally, a cleaner you can trust.
